BACKGROUND

The Sectorial Plan for the Sea Resources (PSRM), effective multiyearly, is part of the National Policy for the Sea Resources (PNRM) and seeks to get to know and evaluate the potential of the sea, as well as monitor the living and non-living resources and oceanographic, phenomena and climate of marine areas under the jurisdiction and of interest to Brazil, to ensure the sustainable use of resources and the fair and equitable sharing of the benefits derived from such use.
