ACCESSIBILITY

New standard digital identity model of the federal government meets the main accessibility guidelines recommended for web

The term accessibility means include people with disabilities in participating in activities such as the use of products, services and information. Some examples are the buildings with access ramps for wheelchair and wheelchair bathrooms.

On the internet, accessibility refers mainly to WCAG recommendations (World Content Accessibility Guide) W3C and in the case of the Brazilian Government to e-MAG (Model accessibility in e-government). The E-MAG is in line with international recommendations, but sets out standards of behavior for accessible government websites.

At the top of the portal there is a bar where accessibility is standard navigation shortcuts and the option to change the contrast. These tools are available in all portal pages.

The federal government standards shortcuts are:

Alt + 2 is keying on any portal page, it gets directly to the beginning of the main menu.

Alt + 3 if typing in any portal page, you arrive directly into your internal search.

In the case of Firefox instead of Alt + number, simultaneously press Alt + Shift + number.

And Firefox on Mac OS, instead of Alt + Shift + number, simultaneously press Ctrl + Alt + number.

In Opera, the keys are Shift + Escape + number. When you press only Shift + Escape, the user will find a window with all page ACCESSKEY alternatives.

At the end of this text, you can download some files that better explain the term accessibility and how it should be implemented on Internet sites.
